Chris Andrew -
Broken & Torn

“Enraged mother drowns her four children.”  “Student opens fire on campus kills fourteen.”  “Rioters destroy downtown building.”  “Husband kills wife to hide affair.”

We embrace headlines, rage with peers over the outrage, and stop friendship short of brokenness.

No one wants to hear that story - the story of a mess.  The reflection of what each of is capable of.  Worse than a headline - a life of un-embraced brokenness.

Headlines drive crowds, while a preemptive story of brokenness would sound autobiographical.
